Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the US of America is an actress and singer. Her parents were Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier and both are television news directors. Bell was raised and birthed in Huntington Woods Michigan. Kristen was born in Huntington Woods, Michigan with an Polish mother and father that was German, English Irish, Scottish as well as Irish. Kristen's talents for performing were recognized at an early age. In 1992 she won her first role at her audition in Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell, who was 13 when her mother signed as an agent was also cast in ads on newspapers and TV. She also started taking acting lessons in private at the age of 13. Bell had an uncredited role in the film Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School, where she was a member of the both the music and drama club. She was a part of Dorothy in the high-school production in The Wizard of Oz. Bell was accepted to New York City for the Tisch School of the Arts to study musical theater following her graduation. Bell left the university in 2001 and began playing the role Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. In the same year, she starred in Pootie Tang however, the scene where she played the role was removed. This meant that only her credit sequence exists. Bell played in the Broadway revival of The Crucible starring Liam Neeson & Angela Bettis.
